The Eudora Schools Foundation is proud to announce the expansion of the Cardinal U Scholarship, increasing support for Eudora High School students pursuing college credit while still in high school.

This expanded effort reflects a strong and growing partnership between the Foundation and community supporters who are deeply committed to Eudora students and their future success. Leadership support for the Cardinal U Scholarship includes long-time partners Truity Credit Union, the Eudora High School Class of 1968, and a transformational $50,000 commitment from an anonymous donor.

“This expansion is a direct result of a community that believes in our students,” said Shanda Hurla, Executive Director of the Eudora Schools Foundation. “Our partners have a long history of supporting Eudora schools, and their continued investment allows us to grow this opportunity and reach even more students.”

“The generosity behind this effort, including the transformational anonymous gift, reflects a strong belief in our students. The strength of our partnership with the Eudora Schools Foundation continues to create meaningful opportunities, and together, we are opening doors that will impact students well beyond high school,” said Dr. Stu Moeckel, superintendent of Eudora Schools.

As part of this expansion, the Foundation is working closely with Eudora High School administration and counselors to increase awareness and ensure students understand that financial support is available. This includes reaching students who may not have previously considered college-level coursework due to cost.

“We know that students sometimes count themselves out before they even begin,” Hurla said. “This expansion helps us change that by making it clear that these opportunities are within reach.”

The Eudora Schools Foundation continues to invite businesses, Eudora High School alumni classes, and community members to be part of this growing effort. Additional support will help sustain and expand access for future students.
