20 Years Young. Just Getting Started.

In 2026, the Eudora Schools Foundation celebrates 20 years of ambitious goals—igniting exceptional futures for Eudora students. We’re celebrating all year long, and you’re invited to join the fun.

Honoring 11 Years of Leadership: Shanda Hurla

As the Eudora Schools Foundation celebrated its 20th birthday, we also celebrated a leader whose work helped shape more than half of our organization’s history.

For 11 years, Shanda Hurla served the Eudora Schools Foundation with extraordinary dedication to Eudora students, staff, and families. Under her leadership, the Foundation grew in both its reach and its impact—expanding opportunities for students, supporting educators and their innovative ideas, strengthening programs for families, and building lasting partnerships throughout our community.

But Shanda’s legacy is about more than programs, dollars raised, or milestones reached. It is found in the students who had an opportunity they might not otherwise have had, the teachers who were able to bring an idea to life, the families who received support when they needed it, and the community members who found meaningful ways to invest in Eudora Schools.

At our 20th Birthday Celebration, we honored Shanda with a special video tribute told through the words of the colleagues, ESF supporters, community partners, and friends who worked alongside her and witnessed her impact firsthand.

Her leadership will forever be part of the Eudora Schools Foundation story—and we are incredibly grateful for the foundation she helped build for the years ahead.
