ESF Give Day Celebrates 20 Years with Record Breaking $101,005 Raised

Board of Education Members & EMS Students Announce the ESF Give Day Total of 101,005.70

The Eudora Schools Foundation (ESF) has raised $101,005.70 during its annual ESF Give Day, marking a milestone moment in the Foundation’s 20th Birthday year. With support from more than 570 donors, this year’s Give Day represents the largest total in the event’s history.

For two decades, the ESF has connected community generosity with meaningful opportunities for students and educators and this year’s Give Day was a powerful reflection of that legacy.

“For 20 years, our community has shown what’s possible when we come together for our students,” said Shanda Hurla, ESF Executive Director. “Reaching this milestone during our 20th year is incredibly meaningful. It speaks to the trust, belief, and shared commitment that continue to move our work forward.”

The success of Give Day 2026 reflects a growing tradition of generosity in Eudora, with individuals, families, businesses, and students all playing a role. Contributions from across the district, including student led efforts, highlight the strong culture of giving that defines the community.

“This is more than a total, it is a reflection of who we are as a community,” said Hurla. “We are grateful to be part of a community that cares so deeply about its schools and its kids. Because of this support, we can continue to expand opportunities for our students through innovative classroom grants, real world learning experiences, and programs that help every student explore their future. In our 20th year, this is exactly what it means to make the extraordinary happen.”

Funds raised through ESF Give Day will support initiatives across the district, including:

  • Classroom grants that bring innovative ideas to life

  • Expanded work based learning and career exploration opportunities

  • Student programs that enrich learning inside and outside the classroom

  • Support for student needs to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed

As ESF celebrates 20 years, Give Day continues to demonstrate the power of community investment in public education and the belief that every Eudora student deserves the opportunity to succeed.

The Eudora Schools Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that generates resources, builds relationships, and champions public education in Eudora public schools. Founded in 2006, the Foundation exists to enhance the quality of education through partnerships with the community.
