Thursday, March 23, 2023; Eudora, KS: The Eudora Schools Foundation (ESF) has raised more than $59,000 from the third-annual ESF Give Day on March 7th. The total includes donations received from February 1st to March 10th.
“It always amazes me how our community and donors come together to support this Give Day. We met our goal once again and set a record doing it,” said Ed Hurtig, ESF Board President. “The Foundation is truly blessed to have so many people that are willing to invest in our school system, and for that we truly thank you. With your support, the ESF will continue to enhance and elevate the opportunities for our kids at the Eudora Schools.”
The amount raised includes $8,200 in matching gifts from campaign sponsors – LRG | Wendy’s, Westerhouse Heating & Cooling, MainStreet Credit Union, Central Bank, INTRUST Bank, and Ranjbar Orthodontics. In addition to more than $4,000 was donated from student coin drives across the district.
The ESF works closely with administration and teachers to set funding priorities with the overall goal of enriching student experience, rewarding teaching excellence, and working to make our Eudora schools the very best.
“Our community members continue to make a significant commitment to our Eudora kids. We recognize and appreciate the difference our community is making in the lives of our students, providing them with additional resources and opportunities they need to succeed. We are so grateful,” said, Shanda Hurla, ESF Executive Director. “Our Foundation takes seriously the responsibility of being good stewards of our community’s donations and work equally hard to meet the needs of our students and teachers; support classroom innovation; and invest in district initiatives.”
The Eudora Schools Foundation is a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) that generates resources, builds relationships, and champions public education in Eudora public schools. Founded in 2006, the Foundation exists to enhance the quality of education through partnerships with the community.
