Health Equity in Eudora: A Community Forum

Thursday, August 8, 2019
5:30 pm7:00 pm
Eudora School District - West Resource Center Library: 1310 Winchester Road

We invite the Eudora community to join us as we learn and understand about health equity, and its relevance to Eudora and our county.

WHY HEALTH EQUITY MATTERS
Health equity is achieved when everyone has the opportunity to live a healthier life, no matter who we are, where we live, or how much money we make. And while we can’t currently ensure that everyone will be healthy, we can change the physical conditions in which people live, learn, work and play. These conditions are Social Determinants of Health and by improving these conditions we can ensure that everyone has the opportunity to achieve their full potential and improve their quality of life.

Hosted by the Eudora Schools Foundation
Special Guest:
Dan Partridge, Director, Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department
